The QA Engineer has the following responsibilities:
Develops test methods and tools to validate product requirements
Manages test cases, including test script creation, conditioning, and traceability to
requirements
Performs functional and regression testing and conducts test case execution to include
performance and load testing of systems and software
Maintains a library of test conditions, cases, scripts, and results for reference and
verification of the quality assurance process
Develops a test automation suite to support rapid quality assurance testing
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
Minimum BS degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
scientific field
Five or more years of commercial software QA experience
Three years experience in Java quality assurance, or MS degree(s) in Computer Science
and two years Java quality assurance experience
Experience testing applications based on either Microsoft Windows SQL or Sun
MicroSystems MySQL database systems
Desired Experience (bonus): testing software created with the Adobe Flex or in the
Eclipse programming environment, or experience in either InterSystem's Caché or
Massachusetts General Hospital Utility MultiProgramming System (MUMPS)
Superior analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to interact effectively with management, users, and other programmers
Ability to work as part of a development team
The ability to effectively manage your time and projects
Honesty, reliability, punctuality
