The Database Administrator performs essential database functions, including:
Creating entity-relationship diagrams
Creating data views and ad-hoc queries
Database administration (creating user logins, etc.)
Backing up databases
Creating database documentation
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
Minimum AS degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related
scientific field, or equivalent commercial job experience
Two years commercial experience in database administration
One year commercial experience in Microsoft Windows SQL or Sun MicroSystem's
MySQL
Superior analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to interact effectively with management, users, and other programmers
Ability to work as part of a development team
The ability to effectively manage your time and projects
Honesty, reliability, punctuality
We will consider applicants with a range of experience. Compensation will be based on the
candidate's skills and experience
