EIM Business Intelligence Report Writer
Description
*This is a contingent position of up to 12 months. There is possibility for renewal and/or conversion to regular employement.*
The EIM Business Intelligence Report Writer is responsible for gathering requirements, design, creation and support of all key reports In this
position, the engineer will:
• Assess reporting needs of the department through investigation and analysis of non-technical users
• Create reporting solutions using either Business Objects Web Intelligence and/or Crystal reports
• Quickly and accurately respond to Ad-Hoc information requests
• Utilize and improve security measures to ensure appropriate user access
• Forecast, analyze data and trends and create reports that highlight areas in need of performance improvement
• Analyze deficiencies in reporting database and make suggestions as necessary
• Work with all levels of end users, including executive staff
• Interact with customers as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems with reports and applications
• Identify and resolve application/infrastructure problems and provide performance tuning services when applicable
Qualifications
• Expert SQL skills and data extraction methodologies.
• Proficient with Business Objects Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Report Writer/Analyst
• Extensive professional experience in data analysis and report design/development
• Expert presentation/interface skills (demonstrated GUI design)
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technology
• Strong problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Data warehouse experience is desirable
• Ability to interact well in a team environment
• Detail oriented
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
