Emerging Technology Engineer
Description
The Emergency Technology Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, code,
and facilitate the delivery of solutions which are motivated by emerging technologies such as
mobile computing, social networking, and video systems. . The successful candidate will be
expected to integrate well with other engineering. The ability to rapidly investigate and evaluate
new technologies as well as implement and deploy solutions is required. The successful
candidate must be able to work on a highly productive team with aggressive schedules aimed at
delivering new solutions. If you have a strong interest in engineering solutions for mobile

Ultimately, the success of the individual engineer is directly tied to the success of the
engineering team. We need people that can focus on delivering high-quality solutions, quickly.
Qualifications
Exposure to a broad range of emerging technologies, and able to contribute meaningfully
to technology and product decisions.
Must have 5 or more years of relevant experience
Significant experience developing web applications and content-rich websites is
preferred.
Experience with emerging mobile development platforms
Able to comfortably apply and recognize design patterns in determining algorithms,
design constructs and architectural decisions
Proven ability to estimate the time to develop software features and then to deliver on
that estimate
BS/MS/PhD in CS or equivalent experience and demonstrated ability to deliver.
Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, XML web services, and
agile development methodologies desired.
