Description
The Software Development Manager leads technical project delivery and is responsible
for technical project management. The Software Development Manager works side-byside with the Product Manager (product owner) to define
and deliver state-of-the-art
software applications for the industry. The Software Development Manager manages a
team of Software Engineers and Test Engineers at various levels of experience.
Qualifications
Required skills
- C.S. degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience as software dev mgr
- 5+ years managing direct reports (including performance mgmt, career development,
compensation and budgets)
- Has delivered at least 5 major releases of web applications
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Comfortable serving as a sounding board for technical discussions
- Experience with Java, Flex and HTML
Desired skills
- Experience using the Scrum development process or other Agile process
- Experience as Scrum Master
- MBA degree
- Hardware infrastructure design
